The first HUN-REN Cloud Meetup took place on November 28, 2024, at the Wigner Data Center. During the event, current and former users of the HUN-REN Cloud showcased how they utilized the available resources in their scientific and IT projects. Participants had the opportunity to share their experiences and learn about the plans for the upcoming year.

Our institute’s bioinformatician, Kristóf Jakab, delivered a presentation on the transition to cloud technologies at the HUN-REN BTK Institute of Archaeogenomics. He discussed the challenges and benefits of running the institute’s major computations in the cloud, a shift that has been in place since November 2022.
